Telestrations. Think about this game as a glorified version of Pictionary. The players each get a word and have to draw it the best they can. Once the time is up, they pass their drawing to the person beside them, who then can only see the drawing (not the original word), and they have to opt for a word to summarize the drawing. They pass their word on, and the next person has to draw a picture that depicts it … and on and on. It’s like a drawing/word spin on the old classic game of Telephone. Once the round is over, it’s hilarious to look back through and see how everyone interpreted the words and drawings. Guaranteed to make you laugh.
Say Anything. This is a great game to get to know each other better. The fun thing about this game is that it builds a natural opportunities for telling stories, discussing about opinions, and cracking up as you get to know each other better.
Crazy Helium Both. There are so many apps these days that are fun to use when you’re hanging out with the family. Here’s one: put Crazy Helium Booth on somebody’s phone, and then have fun with the filters, voice alterations, and video features. Once everyone has had a turn, plug the phone into the TV and watch all the videos.
Catch Phrase. Hey … there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a timeless. If you’ve never ever played this game, players take turns getting a word and trying to make the group to say that phrase or word without having using any of those specific words. Someone might get the phrase “apples to apples,” and they have to try to get people to say that phrase without saying any of those words. They might talk about a three-word phrase that we use when we talk about comparing something, and it involves a very common fruit. You understand. Have no idea what it has to do with this game, but it never gets old and people play it for hours.
Game of Phones. Okay, technological advances is more an aspect of our life these days than in the past.
