03 May A tradition of excellence in the Northeast
Like all of the IMG Network Companies, Northeast Charter & Tour – Lewiston, ME continually invests in employee training and development. We work closely with vendor locations, attractions, including the National Park System to be sure our customer’s experience is the very best it can be. Northeast Charter has been servicing Acadia National Park “The Crown Jewel of the North Atlantic Coast” for 20 years. Whether it’s a private group tour, a Maine Summer Camp trip or a Shore Excursion Cruise Ship Tour, our diverse fleet and well-qualified drivers exceed our customer’s expectations.
In keeping with our quest to maintain the very highest of customer confidence and satisfaction, Northeast often invests in driver orientations and training throughout our service area. A few months ago, we took about 20 drivers down to the Boston area and took them through many of the popular tourist hot spots like Logan Airport and Faneuil Hall. Most recently, we sent a group of drivers up with our driver trainer to give them an orientation in Acadia National Park.
Like all National Parks, there are “rules of the road” within those parks that drivers need to be familiar with. Northeast loaded up a bus with drivers and headed up to the park where we were joined by a Park Ranger and spent about 4 hours negotiating all the park’s do’s and don’ts.
This invaluable training was a perfect way to start off the park season. Our thanks go out to the Acadia National Park Staff for encouraging and educating our driving staff. It was an extremely productive day. Every investment in our employee development, whether it is a factory training for our mechanics, driver training and orientations, regular safety meetings, sales & customer service training as well as strict quality controls throughout every department: ALL of it is geared towards the same thing… the very best customer experience on the road.
