19 Mar Figure Out For Yourself
In You’ve Got Mail, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan come together in a comical romantic comedy where they’ve spent months corresponding by email. They are buddies over the Internet, and both of them waiting to every letter. But. They have no idea that the person they love in the virtual world is actually their enemy in the real one. At some point, however, just as in Sleepless in Seattle, they end up getting together and things work out.
In one of their lighter exchanges, Joe Fox (Hanks’ character) mentions this: “The whole purpose of places like Starbucks is for people who have no decision-making ability whatsoever to make six decisions, just to buy one cup of coffee. Short, tall, light, dark, caf, decaf, low-fat, non-fat, etc. People who don’t know what … they’re doing or who on earth they are can, for only $2.95, get not just a cup of coffee, but an absolutely defining sense of self: Tall! Decaf! Cappuccino!”
While this is kind of an absent-minded, charming comment, it actually illustrates something that’s pretty basic: as human beings, we appreciate choices, and we definitely have preferences. Do you like your coffee bare bones? Even down to small, seemingly insignificant decisions each day, we are particular about what we like and we choose accordingly.
We may buy a certain brand of car seat because consumer reports and product testing indicate that one is safer than others that are on the market. And we take these kinds of factors into consideration all the time, prioritizing our safety and preferences based on what we know (or don’t know, for that matter).
You aren’t the one behind the wheel. And while motorcoach safety is undoubtedly one of the safest forms of transportation out there, you don’t have to just trust what we say.
Did you know that you can check the safety rating of motorcoach companies? With their name, USDOT number, or MC/MX number, you can access a company’s inspection and crash records, and see their overall safety rating.
We pride ourselves on focusing on the safety of our passengers, and this is manifest by the emphasis we put on vehicle maintenance, regular inspections, driver requirements, and our compliance with safety standards. But hey … like we said, you don’t have to go off of what we say. You can know on your own, enabling you to get a transportation choice you can feel good about such as bus rental New England!
