This year, we at Northeast Charter and Tour were nominated and became a finalist for the Environmental Leader Award from the Maine Family Business Association. We are honored to be recognized as and counted amongst companies in the area who love our community and who do all we can to care for our environment.
As a motorcoach company, we know it’s important for us to do all we can to minimize the impact we have on the environment by decreasing our carbon footprint. From working to increase efficiency in our routes to staying up-to-date with the latest green practices, we do all we can to be environmentally friendly.
WE WERE PRIVILEGED IN 2013 TO WIN ABA’S GREEN SPIRIT AND THEN IN 2014 WERE NAMED THE WINNER OF THE UMA’S GREEN HIGHWAY AWARD WINNER.

Though in the end, we did not win the Environmental Leader Award, we are so very proud of the Geiger Corporation based out of Lewiston, Maine who did. We would like to offer our sincerest congratulations to them. We have done business with the Geiger Corporation for years and are impressed with the addition of solar panels on their property this past year and the overall commitment they have to the community and world to be an environmentally conscious business leader. Thank you to all our employees for their hard work and dedication to help us enact our vision of green business practices.
