12 May Rolling 4 Awareness
It was an early morning when two empty Northeast coaches set off to meet up with other motorcoach operators from Maine in Kennebunk for the first stop on our trip to our Nation’s capital. We are participating in a rolling motorcoach rally to bring some attention to the important role that buses play in American’s tour and travel industry supporting over 86 Billion in annual spending. The motorcoach industry is leading the charge on behalf of all of those who are affected and hoping congress will ensure the future of the industry that glues local, regional and national group tourism together.
“We want to be here for you when you return to life as we knew it. When school is back in session, and cruise ships come to port, when summer camps, sports teams resume their activities, we want to be here to answer the call.” said Scott Ricco, President of Northeast Charter.
News stations News Center Maine, WMTW, and WGME met us this morning to help share our message about our plans and intentions.”
Buses and motor coaches from Maine have hit the road, heading to Washington D.C. They’re asking for $15 billion in referral aid along with more than 800 other buses from across the country. It’s part of #BusesMoveAmerica @newscentermaine pic.twitter.com/25dZ1MK8Jl
